Recipe: Chocolate Mint Cold Brew!

Here is our recipe for chocolate mint cold brew coffee!

Image credit: Dennis Tang | Flickr

One of the things we love in the warm months is cold brew coffee, and the abundance of mint from the garden makes it an extra special treat! Here is our recipe for chocolate mint cold brew coffee. By the way - you can use any type of mint, but we love the “chocolate mint” variety.

You need

  • Large pitcher

  • cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee

  • 4 cups filtered water

  • 1 handful fresh mint leaves (lightly bruised to release oils)

Steps

  1. Tie the coffee grounds into a “teabag” with the cheesecloth.

  2. Put the “teabag” into your pitcher and add water, or put the loose coffee in if you are going to strain it later

  3. Toss in your mint leaves

  4. Chill overnight in the fridge

  5. If you didn’t use the cheesecloth, strain out the grounds and the mint.

  6. That’s it! Pour some and drink it. Add dairy or sugar if that’s your thing. Enjoy!
