Our beef is pasture raised, grass fed. It is lightly grain finished on high quality locally-milled feed produced in Canterbury, CT.
We believe the grain finish produces a superior quality product, as it gives the meat a nice marbling instead of being extremely lean and dry.
Beef is $12/lb on the hang weight, plus butcher invoice.
Whole beef is expected to hang at around 400 lb.
Approximately 60% of that is take-home depending on the cuts (~240 lbs.) The butcher fee is around $600 depending on the weight. The process is much the same as for pork.
